Rotary had a very long tradition of singing before each meeting. The founding Rotarians believe that stresses of the day can be reduced if everyone at the meeting shared a song together.

  • Compiles and maintains a songbook for use during the weekly lunch meetings. However, there has been a song book used for many years already in us. The Song Leader Chair may append this book to "change up" the songs used or simply introduce a new song for the meeting.
  • Leads the membership in singing at each meeting or recruits another member to fill in. Normally, members take turns but that is up to the Chair to recruit those members.
