EVENING PROGRAM on Victorian Princess
Brenda Sandberg on Bayfront Development Then, Now and into the Future

The crystal clear waters of Lake Erie welcome visitors to Pennsylvania’s only Great Lake Port.  The city is an exciting hub of community progress anchored by the revitalization of Erie’s waterfront.  The Port of Erie is located on the southeast shore of Lake Erie in a natural bay formed and sheltered by Presque Isle Peninsula.  Environmentally sound, the waterfront of Port Erie offers year-round recreation, relaxing natural beauty, and an historical legacy to visitors.  The revitalized waterfront makes Port Erie a favorite for recreational boaters on the Great Lakes. Located city-side on the waterfront is the Bayfront District. The District includes restaurants, shopping, miniature golf, wooden boat building, concerts and other activities. Bayfront development is a linchpn of Erie's transformation into a first class, 21st century city.

Learn about the past development efforts and future plans for the bayfront with Western PA Port Authority Executive Director Brenda Sandberg as your tour guide aboard the nostalgic Victorian Princess. Boarding begins at 5:30pm and we set sail promptly at 6:00, returning at 7:30. There will be light refreshments and a cash bar and while Erie Rotarians' tickets are covered by the Club, all community members interested in this exciting program are welcome to join us for $25 per person. Please RSVP to Program Chair Diane Chido at dchido@dcanalytics.net.
