Erie Day School: 90 Years and Going Strong
Revisit Erie in its Golden Age through the lens of Erie Day School. From the original premise of the founding mothers, Gertrude Spencer and Zelda Selden, Erie Day School has its foothold in the history of Erie. Join us in learning about the connections EDS holds with St. Paul Cathedral, the Strong and Hamot families, President Taft, Princeton University and the Rose Theatre in London. Brian Gutowski, Erie Day School teacher and Humanities Department Chair will guide us through the history of the Day School and its relationship to the dignitaries of the day. Karen Tyler, Head of School, will share a bit about the school’s present and future, that continues to honor its past 90 years.
